The process for producing this type of packaging is very different from the one used to produce rsc cases or pre-glued cartons, which start from pre-formed blanks that are folded, glued, and only subsequently filled and sealed. In the case of wrap-around casing, the process doesn’t involve inserting products into an already formed container, but rather building the cardboard around the items. The items must first be correctly oriented and grouped and then positioned on the open cardboard blank, which is only then folded and finally closed.

This type of solution guarantees countless advantages, ranging from the possibility of obtaining aesthetically highly appealing boxes to the ability to increase the stability of the cases. Since they are built directly around the products, the resulting packages are particularly compact. However, this method requires specific precautions during the plant design phase, as all components must operate with extreme precision, remaining efficient and fast even when performing format changeover activities.
